Week 12 Forum – Dreaming

Engage with your seminar professor and colleagues on the topic of reading using the following prompt to begin the discussion:
My Beyond-the-Horizon Vision
“Your Beyond-the-Horizon Vision (the top level of your Horizon Storyline) is a vivid picture of your life three years into the future (figure 15.1). It is a God-inspired sense of destination. If you could prototype your life after three revolutions around the sun, what would it look like? Keep in mind that a prototype is a preliminary model that can be evaluated, considered, adapted, and adjusted. Prototyping is a creative, fun, and even exciting process, allowing you to step outside of your life to create and re-create different scenarios or snapshots of a potential future” (Younique, 175).
Follow the five step process outlined by Mancini in Younique pp 176-80 to develop the three elements describing your Beyond-the-Horizon Vision:
- Picture Idea,
- Vivid Description Bullets, and
- Paragraph.
Once you have completed the process, have reflected on your results, and are satisfied with this Beyond-the-Horizon vision for now, please share the three elements of that vision with me and your colleagues. Remember, “. . . it’s not about getting vision perfect. It’s about getting dreaming started” (Younique, 180).
Now, for fun, share with us one item on your Bucket List (Younique, 237-44). One of my items is to live in a home on the beach for a month together with my wife and children simply enjoying life.
